Icy conditions close some Lake of the Ozarks businesses

OSAGE BEACH, Mo. Icy conditions closed some businesses at the Lake of the Ozarks Saturday.

It was the second day Poly Lift boat lift employees in Osage Beach say they’ve been closed because of the weather.

Sales manager Charlie Noland said employees install boat lifts from docks, but the icy conditions that can make the docks and ramps slick, and unsafe for workers...

Noland says it wasn’t worth the risk to employees to open today.

“With the weather, if it gets really bad out, we didn’t want employees to risk their lives and just to get to work. So we wanted to keep everybody safe and ready to go for when we do get real busy.”

Noland added when the boat ramps are icy employees can’t launch boat lifts safely.
